Friends & Family

Cancer is not only devastating for patients – family, friends and whole communities are affected.

When a loved one tells you she has cancer, it can be hard to know what to say or do. Encouraging her to attend a Look Good Feel Better workshop is a good first step.

Even if she thinks it is self-indulgent, remind her that it will provide a much needed emotional lift. She’ll get to meet other women facing similar challenges, and right now, she definitely deserves a bit of pampering.

Look Good Feel Better workshops provide practical guidance on dealing with the appearance-related side effects of cancer treatment. There are skincare and make-up tips, plus wig and turban demonstrations. And family members and friends are welcome (one per attending patient) – we understand the importance of your role too!
